                                              Altar Server Schedule     February to April 2012

 ALTAR SERVERS 

50 young men and women minister at God’s altar with reverence, dignity and love.  Membership is limited to 50 servers and ongoing training is required. In our parish the tradition is to invite boys or girls into this ministry who are at least in the 6^th grade and to remain in this ministry throughout High School.  When a server enters High School, they are recognized as Senior Servers and from our  Senior Servers, three are chosen to be Masters of ceremonies after having to undergo a period of training. Upon graduation from High School each graduating server receive a scholarship provide by the Chris Pomerleau (former altar server) Scholarship Fund. Not only do these young men and women serve faithfully at the Sunday Eucharist but also are available for weddings, First Communions, and special liturgies such as Tenebrae, Mass of Remembrance etc.
